...Poem for Class Teacher...
You've touched our lives, dear Puan Ting,
Since you stepped into our class
How hard it is to imagine now,
That two years have just passed.
Since you stepped into our class
How hard it is to imagine now,
That two years have just passed.
Angsana never was, perhaps,
An easy road for us,
But your motherly devotion
Filled it with bliss and happiness.
An easy road for us,
But your motherly devotion
Filled it with bliss and happiness.
Thank you for the timeless moments
For believing in who we are.
You didn't just teach Add Maths
You 'integrated' us to the stars.
For believing in who we are.
You didn't just teach Add Maths
You 'integrated' us to the stars.
Whenever you need to feed yourself
On our nostalgic dose,
Distance plays no part in this,
Our gift shall keep us close.
On our nostalgic dose,
Distance plays no part in this,
Our gift shall keep us close.
And even with that last bell ring,
We hope you won't feel blue
School ended, yes, yet always
May our love go home with you.
We hope you won't feel blue
School ended, yes, yet always
May our love go home with you.
Rachael
Finally, our class project ready and in the hands of our class teacher. It took a lot of cutting, sticking, arranging and loads of laughter, especially when everyone came to take a look, flipping its pages. How her eyes shone when she saw it, and while the final school hour slowly ticked away, we crowded around her to watch her feast her eyes on every page.
She would get too emotional over sentimantal parts, according to her, so she saved some for home. Today, she mentioned that she's been looking at it over and over again. I guess I would have too.
While we may not get to see her shed tears, let alone even know if she did, at least we gave her a day never to be forgotten. That I'm certain we did.
Ah,, thank you Angsana. Pn. Ting deserved that. Something Lili didn't give to her. I think my impression of Angsanians are beginning to change radically now. You might actually be the coolest class of all :D
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice thing to say, thanks! :) Who was Lili's form teacher, by the way?
ReplyDeleteI think it was Pn. Teh Mooi Hoon. She looks really worn out and old now and it's only been 3 years. It's dreadful sometimes what effect pregnancy can leave on women. :(
ReplyDeleteBut Pn. Ting definitely deserved that much in the very least. 'Cause she's probably one of the best living teachers I know still teaching at SMKTS.
Oh I remember her. She taught us Chinese! Yes, she's actually a great teacher too- always patient considering how much I'd struggled through the class.
ReplyDeleteHope she's ok though...
