Longings to Skate

How I longed to step upon the ice.
How I longed to disappear into the realm of the Snow Queen, where icicles hang from very corner. At every moment, they capture the lights of the aurora, casting myraids of dancing rainbows upon the frozen walls. The land is misty, dim, yet so enchanting.
Cold, yes, but with every thump of your heart, it shoots a massive amount of warm blood to every inch of your body, as though it were some sort of ecstacy.
Be it beginners, or those with experience, they cannot resist the lure of the slippery stage.
The floor is a mirror on its own, calling skaters to glide across it, as if vanity were a virtue.
Oblivious to their surroundings, forgetting all of their sorrows and painful worries, releasing their burdening stress, no more troubling their thoughts.
All this imagined at the edge of the ice skating rink, after a heated argument.

I don't feel like talking about that argument yesterday. One thing, for certain, I must add. I am not one to tolerate with misjudgement or online addiction.

*Here are pictures of an ice skating class taking place. They were probably having rehearsals.*

  1. There's always an alternative. Roller blades. :D

  2. I've not actually tried roller blades. Maybe I should. Could be cheaper, huh?

  3. Yeap. A lot cheaper really. A pair of inline skates would cost about 200- *ahem* so it's pretty ok since you don't have to worry about looking for a centre to skate in other then maybe your badminton court at the playground or your front porch. Heh.
